This is what consumers want. LOW PRICES. Not Flash, not a tablet that requires a connection to blackberry phones just to get email (yeah, I'm looking at you RIM), and definitely not WinMo 7 (who needs a blue screen of death white texting, NOKIA).

Why would people buy your tablet at the same price as an iPad when it can do less? That is absolutely not logical. You wanna beat the iPad? Do it the PC way. Sell cheap tablets, even if the user experience is not up to the iPad's standards. Manufacturers have forgotten how Apple got buried in the pc market.

Maybe. The death of Palm will not be in vain. Let the proliferation of the NET TABLET commence!
